The music by "Egyptian Lover" makes it impossible to stand still, but it wont beat the real deal. Within the deserts of Egypt, along the Nile River, you will find the gigiant lake Nasser and it's wilderness areas. Home to the biggest alligators I have ever seen, huge lizards, deadly snakes, scorpions and the Nile Perch. The Nile Perch is one of the largest freshwater fishes on the planet and catching it on a fly demands skills and muscles. Walking the shoreline, watching out for anything that is there to kill you, while throwing 40 cm long and fat flies tied on 5/0 hooks with a 9 to 10 foot 11 to 12 weight rod using 550 grain lines is another ballgame. I were asked by the Danish travelagency "Getaway Tours" to gather some skilled fly fishers in a pursue to catch Nile Perch with a fly. So I brought Martin Karlsson (who then worked for Guideline Sweden) and Peter "Pekka" Isaksson (outdoor, hunting and fly fishing guide from northern Sweden) together with a bunch of crazy Danish anglers down to Lake Nasse, Egypt. During his trip I got some of my best fly fishing photos. Interestingly non of these pictures has ever been published.
